Why the week count moves the way it does
Weeks are the unit people actually plan in. Deadlines, notice periods and rotas run in weeks, which is why a week count tends to be more useful than a raw day count once you are more than a fortnight out. Note that the two figures answer slightly different questions: "how many weeks" is full weeks only, while "weeks and days" keeps the remainder.
About Festivus 2026
Festivus 2026 falls on Wednesday, December 23, 2026. For the rest of us: the fictional holiday from Seinfeld (1997) that became a real anti-holiday â featuring the airing of grievances and feats of strength around an unadorned aluminum pole.
The live counter above counts down the days, hours and minutes to Festivus 2026 in your local time zone, and switches to a 'days since' counter once it arrives.
